Up until this spring we were complete novices in how to market and rent out a gite. From your advice in furnishing and equipping our house and advertising on target websites, to managing our changeovers for us from May to October we have had every confidence in your service. We were assured when you dealt with emergencies which for us (hundreds of miles away in the UK) would have been difficult if not impossible to deal with so promptly. Very many thanks for your project management for our replacement fosse septique for our résidence secondaire. From seeking and following up quotes, to completing the permissions etc, to checking on les travaux, all has run very smoothly. We were most impressed with your efficiency and reliability. Your commentary on the responses and visits by the firms asked to tender was very important in making a decision about proceeding and, having seen the results and having met the amiable local contractor on completion, it only confirmed your original analysis. We could not have asked for better.

Mr and Mrs Hickman were employed by my wife and I to provide a general security watch and care for our house in St Astier after we vacated it to return to England in October 2009. We sold the house 18 October 2010. Their main tasks were to visit the property every two weeks to carry out an internal and external check of the main house and to carry out a check of the gardens and outbuildings. This included checking all water pipes, radiators, hot water tank, boiler for leaks and any other problems, keeping a check on the level of fuel in the tank and keeping the septic tank in healthy order with biological activator. They checked for signs of trespass, forwarded mail to us in the UK and generally ensured the property was kept looking attractive for potential buyers.
Mr and Mrs Hickman also attended to the good appearance of the gardens and, according to season, carried out such work as appropriate.
Mr and Mrs Hickman were vigilant and prompt in their reporting of the results of each visit and were clearly very responsible and active in looking after the house in our absence, often making sensible suggestions for improvements which we usually accepted forthwith.
They carried out their duties to our entire satisfaction and we warmly recommend them for any future such employment.
